Об авторе

Ольга Шевченко жила в Москве, Варшаве и Филадельфии, а в настоящее время преподает социологию в Вильямс Колледже, штат Массачусетс. Она пишет о повседневности, потреблении, советской и постсоветской культуре, памяти и фотографии. Ее главный на настоящее время проект – это совместное с историком Оксаной Саркисовой исследование под названием «История с фотографией: Семейные фото и поколенческие воспоминания о советском времени в России». Ее предыдущая книга, «Кризис и повседневность в постсоветской Москве» , была посвящена изменяющимся структурам повседневности и быту Москвы 1990ых.
